AS A MEDIUM OF ENTERTAINMENT AND INFORMATION, IT HAS ACHIEVED PHENOMENAL GROWTH IN THE PAST DECADE – FROM BEING THE SOLE PORTAL TO INFORMATION IN THE PRE-INTERNET ERA TO BEING THE PREFERRED MEANS OF AUDIO-VISUAL INFORMATION FOR MANY, DESPITE THE QUANTUM OF ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS AVAILABLE TODAY.
