Enhancing cause based gaming experiences to generate mass awareness about ocean pollution 

Dropledge is a social cause based platform that aims at changing user behavior through technology to transform user thoughts and actions to create social impact. The brand wanted to create a unique gamified experience to increase awareness about ocean pollution & build more relevance around the cause. The key challenge was to conduct a product feasibility study before launching the game.

Solutioning and Approach

  • An in depth insights based research was undertaken by our team, wherein both, casual gamers and gaming enthusiasts were key respondents
  • The overall gaming behavior, triggers for game downloads and drivers of engagement were studied and analysed
  • Through FGDs and surveys, our team also provided the respondents with a first hand Dropledge gaming experience, where their moods and interest in the game/ lack of it was monitored in real time
  • The gamer’s experience was studied along side their sensory and imaginative immersion, the flow of the game and their overall takeaway from it. Individual consumer journeys were thus mapped in detail
  • All these factors gave the team an immersive understanding of the user interface and game functionality, along with its strengths, top parameters of uniqueness and improvement areas, which allowed them to provide Dropledge with a set of consolidated recommendations for better game play
